Introducing the Future Retreat Spaces of The Timber Walk

Introducing the Future Retreat Spaces of The Timber Walk

There’s a moment in creating a place like The Timber Walk when everything shifts from plans to a real destination. Even before any structures rise from the forest floor, giving them names makes the place feel alive. Inspired by the woods, wildlife, and the peaceful nature of Lower Greenwich, these future accommodations already have identities that reflect the spirit of this New Brunswick forest retreat.

Today, I’m excited to share the official names of the spaces that will one day welcome guests looking for a quiet woodland getaway near Saint John.

Birchwood Cottage — Our First Forest Home

The first structure we’ll build will be Birchwood Cottage, a cozy, wood-framed cottage designed for slow mornings and peaceful evenings. Its name comes directly from the birch trees surrounding the clearing where the cottage will stand.

Birchwood Cottage will become the heartbeat of The Timber Walk — a warm, inviting space perfect for quiet escape in the New Brunswick woods.

Cedar Grove Cabin

Following the cottage, we’ll begin construction on two additional woodland cabins — designed to offer guests a comfortable and rustic retreat experience close to Saint John, NB.

Named for the timeless calm of a cedar grove, Cedar Grove Cabin will be designed to capture that same sense of quiet retreat. Its location and name reflect the quiet, grounded feeling of stepping into a natural grove — a perfect setting for guests seeking a peaceful New Brunswick cabin getaway.

Pine Ridge Cabin

Built slightly higher on the landscape, Pine Ridge Cabin will draw inspiration from the breezy, elevated beauty of pine-covered ridges throughout the Saint John River Valley. It will be ideal for guests who want a scenic cabin stay with views of the surrounding forest.

Together, these two cabins will provide nature-focused accommodations that blend comfort with the authentic feel of a forest retreat in southern New Brunswick.

Fox Den Retreat Tent

The final phase will see us construct two furnished retreat tents on wooden pads with BBQ desk — offering a stylish and comfortable glamping experience for guests who want to stay close to nature without sacrificing comfort.

Inspired by the foxes that occasionally wander the property, the Fox Den Retreat Tent will offer a snug, tucked-away hideout near the treeline. It will be ideal for guests looking for a cozy glamping tent near Saint John that still feels fully connected to the forest.

Sparrow’s Nest Retreat Tent

Light, airy, and peaceful, Sparrow’s Nest Retreat Tent will offer a gentle sanctuary inspired by the simplicity of a songbird’s nest. It will bring a soft, calming atmosphere — perfect for quiet weekends, writing retreats, or anyone seeking a restorative stay in nature.

Together, these tents will offer a charming glamping option along The Timber Walk boardwalk, giving guests a unique way to experience the New Brunswick woods.

Looking Ahead

While these structures are still to be built, naming them brings The Timber Walk one step closer to becoming a true forest retreat destination. I can’t wait for the day when these names represent real spaces — warm, welcoming, and ready for their first guests.
